The Institute of Systems and Robotics of the University of Coimbra (ISR-UC) and the Caritas Diocesana de Coimbra celebrated a collaboration protocol, reinforcing the future path of this partnership resulting from the GrowMeUp Research Project, which began in 2014.
(ISR-UC) is a private non-profit institution that promotes advanced multidisciplinary R & D in the areas of Robotics, Intelligent Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Automation Technologies, among others. Caritas de Coimbra is an IPSS that supports social, health, education and pastoral communities in five districts of the region, with about 150 social responses, supporting more than 26,000 users per year. Both organizations have taken a strong stake in the search for innovative and economically sustainable strategies that allow a useful intervention in society, promoting better conditions for citizens, while simultaneously investing in the dissemination, promotion and economic valuation of scientific and technological knowledge. Based on these premises, the formalization of this partnership will foster joint participation in activities of a technical-scientific and research nature, especially in the areas of activity of Caritas Coimbra, such as active and healthy aging or friendly, inclusive and intelligent environments. |
