Frederico Vaz

Activity: Former Collaborator

Frederico Costa Vaz is a MSc Student of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Coimbra. On October 2017, he joined the AP4ISR team of the Institute of Systems and Robotics in order to work on his M. Sc. dissertation entitled “Localization of an unmanned underwater vehicle using multiple water surface robots, multilateration, and sensor data fusion”, under the supervision of Prof. Rui P. Rocha and co-supervised by Dr. Micael Couceiro, in a collaboration with the Ingeniarius company.

Frederico Vaz has some experience on educational robotics. He founded and led BotOlympics for two years, a robotic competition in Coimbra. He was also a member of the board of directors of Robotics Club of University of Coimbra and he was mentor in RobotCraft 2017 and 2018.
