This PhD project researches multi-robot systems; more specifically swarm robotics under communication constraints.

This work extends the Darwinian Particle Swarm Optimization to the multi-robot systems domain, considering real world constraints such as obstacle avoidance and network connectivity. A formal stability analysis of the algorithm and further evaluation through large teams of simulated and real robots show that it can be an effective solution in swarm robotics.
